Sarah Adams joins Mirams Becker as Principal and Lead, Healthcare Philanthropy

Toronto, September 3, 2021 — It is with great pleasure that Mirams Becker welcomes Sarah Adams to the firm as Principal and Lead, Healthcare Philanthropy.

“Sarah brings extensive executive search experience within health care and the broader public sectors,” said Penny Mirams, Co-founder and Managing Partner. “We are excited to leverage her expertise to support the execution of a broad range of searches for our healthcare clients.  In addition, Sarah will build the firm’s capacity to deliver healthcare fundraising searches with hospital foundation, community health organizations and health charities across Canada.”

The founding team-members of Mirams Becker have worked with Sarah in the past and know that she will make a significant contribution to the firm and to our client outcomes.

Sarah has 15 years of experience in executive search, focusing primarily on the health care, not-for-profit, and academic sectors, recruiting senior level executives and board directors. Sarah has gained valuable experience in both a global executive search firm, as well as Toronto and Vancouver-based boutique firms. In addition to her successful track record in executive search, Sarah has experience in career transition/management and governance advisory services. This diverse experience has enhanced her ability to have meaningful discussions with senior executives about their own careers and fit with her client’s roles. During her career, she has carved out a niche in development and advancement search work and has built an international network of fundraisers across sectors. She has extensive experience working with hospital foundations, community health organizations and healthcare charities across Canada.

Sarah has chosen to dedicate her career to making a meaningful impact to organizations that contribute to a better society. She cares deeply about partnering with clients and candidates to provide genuine, honest advice, guidance and feedback through transition. Sarah has participated on equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) committees, and has facilitated learning sessions around the incorporation of EDI considerations into the overall search process. Sarah truly enjoys coaching and supporting candidates throughout the process and values the long-term relationships she has built throughout her career.

Sarah holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Master of Arts in Public Administration from Brock University.
