As a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Ontario Medical Association, primarily funded by the Province of Ontario, OntarioMD (OMD) supports community-based clinician practices in the selection, implementation and adoption of electronic medical records (EMRs) and other digital health and virtual care tools. Over 20,000 physicians and more than 1,500 nurse practitioners are enrolled in its programs.
This is an excellent opportunity to play a strategic role with an organization that has a unique platform to participate in system transformation through the development and implementation of digital solutions that create value to physicians and impact the health system in Ontario. The opportunities for OntarioMD are endless - from additional value-creation opportunities for Ontario’s physicians, such as practice management, to additional system capabilities in the area of digital transfer and privacy, as well as opportunities to expand OntarioMD’s service offerings to other jurisdictions.
In line with current board vacancies and the skills matrix of its competency-based Board, OntarioMD seeks to recruit one highly experienced Board Director with solid governance and business development/ business growth background, preferably in digital health or health technology.
In addition, as preferred experience, they are seeking someone with an understanding of subsidiary/corporate governance, medical/clinical office environments, and the broader health system so as to assist OntarioMD in bringing value-added services to clinicians. Most importantly, the new Director will bring their passion to make a difference in Ontario’s and Canada’s health systems.
To express your interest in this exciting leadership opportunity, please submit your cover letter and resume, in confidence.
