South Riverdale Community Health Centre is a non-profit, multi-service organization that provides primary healthcare, social and community outreach services with an emphasis on health promotion and disease prevention primarily to people of East Toronto. Our mission is to improve the lives of people that face barriers to physical, mental, spiritual and social well-being. We do so by meaningfully engaging our clients and communities, ensuring equitable access to primary health care, and delivering quality care through a range of evidence informed programs, services and approaches. As a leader in community health, our locally and internationally recognized community services include cutting-edge primary health services, health promotion, harm reduction, environmental health, community food centre and population-based community programs for marginalized peoples. We lead through key partnerships, strategic connections and approaches to achieve impact with and for our community members. Chief Executive Officer
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO is responsible for the overall strategic and operational management of the organization in accordance with its Vision, Mission and Values. The CEO will provide leadership, counsel and guidance in planning and directing the Centre, implementing the strategic plan, and building and maintaining effective relationships between SRCHC and its key internal and external stakeholders, including the broader health and social services sectors and various levels of government. The CEO ensures high-quality client care, efficient operations that align with Board policies and funder requirements, sound financial and risk management and the maintenance of strong community relations. The CEO also oversees the development and continuous improvement of programs, aligns services with the strategic plan and fosters innovation. As an advocate for community health, health equity and marginalized populations, the CEO brings a strong intersectional anti-oppression lens and voice, fosters effective partnerships and inspires staff to bring together people, ideas, systems, processes and technology to ensure the best possible outcomes for clients and their communities.
We are seeking a visionary leader with the ability to provide strategic leadership and vision to advance our mission and goals, oversee the development and implementation of impactful programs, and foster a collaborative and inclusive culture among staff, volunteers, and stakeholders. The ideal candidate has demonstrated knowledge of current social/health issues, determinants of health and relevant legislation affecting primary healthcare, anti-oppression, and health equity. The CEO will also have deep understanding of health care systems and a vision for leading change through collaboration and partnerships. They possess strong leadership, financial management, communication and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with the community served by SRCHC is an asset. You hold a post graduate degree in public/health/human services or business administration, or a combination of an undergraduate degree with significant senior management and leadership experience.
