With a focus on creating an integrated system of care, Lakeridge Health has created two new leadership roles:
- Health System Executive, Integrated Care Focus on Surgery and Clinical Supports
- Health System Executive, Integrated Care Focus on Medicine and Aging
Reporting to the President and CEO, these two Health System Executives will be key members of the Senior Leadership Team and will oversee a number of the clinical programs for this multi-sited hospital. These leaders will work collaboratively with other senior leaders in the organization to provide leadership for the clinical operations, thereby ensuring that Lakeridge delivers an integrated approach to service delivery across the region of Durham.
The Health System Executive, Integrated Care Focus on Surgery and Clinical Supports portfolio will include: Surgery, Emergency and Critical Care, Women’s and Children’s Health, Ambulatory Care, Laboratory Medicine and Diagnostic Imaging. This role will also oversee the creation and operation of the Jerry Coughlan Health and Wellness Centre, which will be a new medical centre, bringing services closer to home for people living in the area. This modern multi-storey building will house surgery and ambulatory care with a focus on innovation and technology.
