Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC) is a two-site hospital that provides a broad range of clinical programs and services to Muskoka and area. With hospitals in Huntsville and Bracebridge, it currently provides emergency services and inpatient care, supported through a number of outpatient programs at both hospital sites and at the Almaguin Highlands Health Centre in Burk's Falls. To support the needs of the growing communities that it services, the hospital’s Board of Directors has endorsed a proposal, to the Ministry of Health, to build new hospitals in both Huntsville and Bracebridge in the future. As further evidence of investment in the region, in 2019 the MOH announced the creation of the Muskoka and Area Ontario Health Team (MAOHT), in which Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare plays an active role. Muskoka is a collection of wonderful communities that make up the most popular cottage country area in Ontario. With over 1,600 lakes, thousands of acres of green forest, and an abundance of amenities, it is a truly magical place in which to live.

Vice President, Corporate Services & Chief Financial Officer

The organization now seeks to recruit a talented and experienced leader, who will report to the President & Chief Executive Officer and will provide strategic leadership and ensure that Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare is accountable for meeting organizational goals.  The VP, Corporate Services, and CFO’s main focus will be in the overall financial management of the organization. They will have primary responsibility for planning, implementing, managing, and controlling all financial-related activities. This will include responsibility for forecasting, budget planning, legal, capital redevelopment, decision support, and overall management of support services.

The incumbent will lead and manage organizational change to establish and maintain an environment that not only meets the changing needs of patient care but facilitates the efficient functioning and development of the Corporate Service Departments, thereby ensuring the best outcomes for the patients and their families.

The successful candidate will possess educational/professional qualifications that give evidence of the intellectual ability to deal with complex strategic and financial issues; professional CPA designation is highly preferred as is a master’s degree in health, business or a related field. The successful candidate will possess a minimum of ten years in senior management leadership positions, ideally acquired within a complex service delivery organization(s) ideally regulated, and ideally involved in the provision of professional services. As important, they will be a passionate, courageous and caring person possessing values and perspectives congruent with the organization’s mandate.
