Vice President, People & Chief Human Resources Officer
Reporting to the President & CEO, the Vice President, People and Chief Human Resources Office (VP & CHRO) is an important member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), providing strategic expertise to the management team, senior executive and Board. As part of organizational strategy the VP & CHRO is responsible to execute the successful integration of the people plan into all HR programs, policies, initiatives, and objectives to fulfil OVH strategic directions. Drawing on substantial expertise in HR management, labour relations, and knowledge of business and industry practice you spearhead the development of metrics to evaluate HR effectiveness at OVH, and will offer direction and leadership for all aspects of the organization's structure, talent acquisition, employee relations, workplace safety, compensation, succession management, and staff engagement.
Possessing exceptional personal integrity and ethics, and outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, the VP & CHRO will bring 15+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources Management or a related field, and 5+ years of experience in a senior-level or executive leadership role, ideally in the healthcare sector. With demonstrated expertise in talent and leadership management, background in implementing organization-wide change, and knowledge of all HR functions and labour/employment law, the successful candidate will nurture positive relationships/partnerships, further develop a positive workplace culture, build teams and inspire others, and display effective conflict resolution skills. A CHRL or CHRE designation, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Leadership, Organizational Development or other related field, or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and equivalent years of experience, is required.
