The Ontario Medical Association (OMA) advocates for the well-being of our 43,000 plus physicians, medical students, and retired physicians, and the health of Ontarians. The OMA is a membership organization that represents the political, clinical, and economic interests of Ontario physicians. Practicing physicians, residents, and medical students enrolled in any of the six Ontario faculties of medicine are eligible for OMA membership. The OMA runs programs to encourage healthy living practices and illness prevention.

Executive Vice-President, Advocacy and Communications

The Executive Vice-President, Advocacy and Communications (EVP) is responsible for both advancing and protecting the OMA’s reputation and brand. Specifically, the EVP will lead effective advocacy and brand-building activities on behalf of Ontario’s Doctors, directing the creation, implementation and evaluation of best-in-class, evidence-based marketing communications, government relations, public affairs, and strategic communications programs aimed at supporting the short and long-term corporate goals of the OMA.

The ideal candidate will possess a Masters Degree and at least 15 years of progressive leadership experience in communications, marketing and public affairs, ideally in healthcare or another complex public sector or association environment.
