The Mandate

Humber River Hospital is now seeking a highly qualified health care leader who is passionate about delivering the highest quality of patient care, through innovation, collaboration and engagement.  Reporting to the President and Chief Executive Officer, this new leader will oversee a talented leadership team supporting strategy across a large and diverse portfolio covering clinical issues, asset and services contract management, redevelopment of 3 acute sites and the construction of a 320 bed long term care facility. The portfolio includes Pharmacy, Laboratory, Diagnostic Imaging, Environmental Services, Facilities Management and Planning, Managed Equipment Services planning, Strategic Assets Management and Redevelopment of HRH’s three sites.  She/he will establish strategy for and oversee external service providers, in order to ensure that HRH’s clinical programs are afforded with the highest level of support in the provision of care to HRH’s patients, families and community.

The Individual

The successful candidate will possess a minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in senior management healthcare roles, ideally with significant experience or exposure to clinical programs. She/he will possess a Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Health Service Administration, Business Administration, or related area of graduate study.  In the ideal, the selected candidate will be a Regulated Health Professional; however, strong leaders across a variety of healthcare domains will be considered.  The successful candidate will preferably have experience leading large and complex re-development projects.  As important as the formal experience and preparation, the successful candidate will possess fundamental leadership qualities – superb business acumen, collaboration, innovation, communication and demonstrated people leadership skills across the health care community, demonstrating the ability to succeed in approval of strategic development initiatives.
