Placement: Canadian Hearing Services Appoints Three New Board Members

Mirams Becker is thrilled to extend our congratulations to Canadian Hearing Services as they welcome three new Board Members.

Bashar Alrehany is the retired Managing Director of VRG Capital. He brings over 25 years of experience as a board member and CEO in the financial services, technology, and healthcare sectors. Bashar is the Vice Chair of Infrastructure Ontario and a board member of Children’s Mental Health Ontario, HealWELL AI and Veritas Investment Research Inc. Bashar brings significant experience leading and growing businesses throughout his career. Bashar now dedicates his time to board governance with a significant focus on NFP organizations. He has an ICD.D designation and a Higher National Diploma from Teesside Polytechnic in England.

Cristina German has served in many data and analytics leadership roles including a Program Director in the airport industry at Wipro Limited. She was previously a Senior Consultant, Digital Transition for the Canadian Institute for Health Information. Cristina brings significant experience in AI, data management and technology modernization. She was a former board member of the Canadian College of Health Leaders Bluenose Chapter. Cristina is hard of hearing and an advocate for her family members who are also hard of hearing. Cristina has a Master of Health Sciences, Epidemiology and Community Health and a Global Executive MBA in Healthcare and Life Sciences from the University of Toronto.

Asmita Gillani is the retired Executive Director of Accreditation Canada/Health Standards Organization. She has spent her career in healthcare and education and brings a strong skillset in leadership, operations, strategic vision setting and IT implementation. She is the former chair of the Aga Khan Social Welfare Board for Canada. Amita has a Bachelor of Science from the University of London and a Master of Health Administration from the University of Toronto.

The leadership, expertise, and vision that these three individuals bring to the table will undoubtedly help drive CHS’s continued success and innovation in delivering services and products to empower Deaf and hard of hearing Canadians. We are excited to see the positive impact they will make in steering the company toward even greater achievements.
