University Medical Imaging Corporation (UMIC) is seeking an accomplished and collaborative financial executive to serve as its next Chief Financial Officer.

UMIC is the physician practice corporation representing more than 100 radiologists affiliated with the Joint Department of Medical Imaging across University Health Network, Sinai Health and Women's College Hospital. Supporting one of Canada's largest and most respected academic radiology practices, UMIC plays a vital role in enabling excellence in patient care, education, research and innovation.

Reporting to the Chair of the Practice Plan Board of Directors, the CFO is a trusted strategic partner responsible for the financial stewardship and administrative leadership of the professional corporation. Working closely with physician leaders, the Board of Directors and external advisors, the CFO will lead financial planning and reporting, oversee physician remuneration and contractual administration, strengthen governance and business processes, and advance strategic initiatives that support the continued growth and evolution of the practice.

The successful candidate is a collaborative, emotionally intelligent leader who inspires confidence through integrity, sound judgment and exceptional relationship-building skills. They bring senior financial leadership experience, outstanding business acumen and the ability to navigate the complexities of a physician-led organization. Experience within healthcare, academic medicine, professional services or physician practice environments will be considered a significant asset.

Candidates will ideally possess a CPA, CA designation and demonstrate expertise in financial reporting, corporate governance, taxation, regulatory compliance and organizational leadership. The successful individual will be equally comfortable providing strategic advice to physician leaders while ensuring excellence in day-to-day financial and administrative operations.
