Placement: CAMH appoints Hazim Hassan as new Vice President, Business Development & Social Impact
Mirams Becker is thrilled to share that Hazim Hassan has been selected as CAMH’s new Vice President, Business Development & Social Impact.
The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is Canada’s largest mental health teaching hospital and one of the world’s leading centres for mental health and addiction research, clinical care, education and policy development. CAMH provides high-quality, evidence-based care to tens of thousands of patients each year through a broad range of inpatient, outpatient, community and virtual services. The organization conducts groundbreaking research, delivers specialized education and training to health care professionals and scientists, advances innovative prevention and health-promotion strategies, and plays a leadership role in shaping mental health and addiction policy at the local, provincial and national levels.
As the new VP, Business Development & Social Impact, Hazim will lead CAMH’s commercial innovation and revenue generation strategy across the enterprise. He will drive the development of diversified and scalable revenue streams across healthcare services, training and education, digital and professional services, and strategic partnerships. In this role, he will identify and evaluate new market opportunities, oversee financial stewardship and forecasting, and ensure that all commercial activity delivers measurable value while upholding the highest standards of regulatory compliance, ethics, and public accountability.
Hazim is a highly respected health system leader with more than 20 years of experience across Ontario’s healthcare landscape, leading complex initiatives spanning business strategy, innovation, research, and system partnerships. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce, Honours and Master of Business Administration from McMaster University, and Doctor of Public Health from the University of Toronto.
