Placement: Inner City Health Associates appoints Ivy Wong as Executive Director
Mirams Becker is thrilled to share Ivy Wong has been selected as Inner City Health Associates’ new Executive Director, beginning March 17th.
As the new Executive Director, Ivy will be responsible for providing strategic and professional leadership to ICHA and will work with the Board of Directors in the development, communication and execution of ICHA’s strategic plan, mission, vision and values.
Ivy is passionate about transforming the way care is offered and delivered through collective impact where the system has failed. She has almost two decades of experience focused on health system transformation, policy and integrated care. She has held roles as Director of the North York Toronto Health Partners (NYTHP) Ontario Health Team, and as the Ontario Network Director for BeACCoN (Better Access and Care for Complex Needs), a CIHR (Canadian Institutes for Health Research) SPOR (Strategy for Patient-Oriented Research) research network in primary and integrated health care innovations.
Ivy spent many years as a civil servant in London, England, including in the Strategy Unit at the Department of Health and as Head of Commissioning Policy and Incentives for the National Health Service (NHS). Before working in healthcare, Ivy worked in the private sector as an IT consultant and in digital marketing and advertising. Ivy is a second-generation settler with dual Canadian and British citizenship, and has lived in the US, France and Germany. She is also proud of her Hong Kong Chinese heritage.
